Shanghai New Union Textra I&E Co.,Ltd. was established in February, 1985. It has been approved by original National Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and became the first key import and export enterprise that integrated industry with foreign trade. Its registered capital is 100 million RMB. The company’s trade volume every year is above 300 million US dollars and amounts to 380 million US dollars in 2008. The company has won many commendations by Shanghai Municipal People's Government and also been awarded the exportation contribution commendation for 12 consecutive years. Its products, evaluated the Shanghai famous-brand products for 6 years from 2000, have been included in Shanghai TOP 100 famous-brand products. And in 2006, they were exported from Shanghai as one of the first 37 famous-brand exportations. After that, the “新联” (“NEW UNION” and “NEW UNION TEXTRA”) trademark has been successfully registered in 38 countries and regions such as US, Canada, European Union and Japan.

Shanghai New Union Textra I&E Co.,Ltd. has a group of talented people who are familiar with import-export trade service, they have established and maintained business relationship with more than 1100 customers in about 40 countries and regions. In 2007, the export volume to US and Canada accounts for 34.16%, Japan accounts for 24.57%, UN accounts for15.15%, Australia and New Zealand accounts for 7.67%. The export volume of clothing accounts for 56.22%, the garment material and the family textiles accounts for 27.67%, the non-textiles accounts for 11.72%, and the mechanical and electrical equipment accounts for 4.39%.

In recent years, we have developed 162 new products which have applied for the patent. Our company was one of the first enterprises that have got the ISO quality certification, and became one of the first “No.1 Management Enterprises” accepted by the Entry－Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Shanghai. The company was also one of the first enterprises whose clothing products and garment material became the exemption from commodity inspection and whose employees can go on a business trip without authorization in Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation and Trade Commission. Shanghai New Union Textra I&E Co.,Ltd. have been entitled “Foreign Trade Earning Honorary Enterprise” and obtained the AA grade qualification from Shanghai Customs. “AAA” honor enterprise in China National Textile Council, at the beginning of 2007, our company has applied for “The Chinese famous-brand exportation” to the department of commerce, and this work is still under way. the “新联” (“NEW UNION” and “NEW UNION TEXTRA”) trademark has been successfully registered in 38 countries and regions such as US, Canada, European Union and Japan.
In order to meet the customers’ needs, we use the advantage of rapid production in garment material to develop deep processing of clothing. Our company and the Hong Kong Steady First Co.,Ltd. as well as Japanese Merchant TOMIYA Co.,Ltd. and SUMITOMO Co.,Ltd. have set up two clothing companies in 1997 and 1995. In addition, we also have many fabric mills, garment factories and accessory factories.

We have been working on expanding our scope of cooperation with the overseas companies. During 1996 to 2000, several meetings called “Shanghai New Union Textra I&E Co.,Ltd. products recommendation meeting” have been held in Osaka and made great impression to the Japanese textile-trading industry. In 1997 and 1999, we have separately set up subsidiary companies in Hong Kong and US.
